Thanks Big O for being Oscar and assisting those who are less fortunate and focusing on positive ventures. -- Bill Smith, Indianapolis, IN

I only have a comment in regards to Oscar speaking in Evansville, IN on Oct. 25, 1999. He was fabulous and I really enjoyed listening to what he said. Keep up the great work! -- Chris McConnell, Newburgh, IN

I attended the opening of the Conseco Fieldhouse the other night and was glad to see you there. I contend you are still the greatest overall basketball player ever and I loved watching you play. I coach my son's team and try to adhere to the fundamentals you talk about. Thanks for the great basketball memories. -- Ned Broadwater, Indianapolis, IN

I just found your website today after seeing your interview with Ch. 8 [Indianapolis] after the Conseco Fieldhouse opening night. It is a great website and I am really looking forward to receiving your book I just ordered. I'm coaching a group of 4th & 5th grade girls who live in a volleyball dominated county and I am excited about teaching them the game I love. Thanks for doing your part! -- Mark Smithson, Selma, IN

I have been a huge Oscar Robertson fan for many years, and I enjoyed watching his pro career. I wish him nothing but the best. It was great to see him at the new Conseco Fieldhouse honoring the top 50 from Indiana. -- Ron Reger, Carmel, IN

I grew up in Rossville, Indiana, graduating in 1971. I then went onto play basketball at the college level and coached on both the high school and college level for 22 years. I got out of coaching last year to spend more time with my three children. I just wanted to say that you were my idol growing up and have always been the basketball player that I most admired. You have always exemplified what I felt a true scholar/athlete should stand for, not to mention the integrity that you have exhibited. My high school coach (Mike Jones at Rossville H.S.) gave me a copy of your book [“Play Better Basketball”] around 1966, when I was in the 6th grade, and I have looked at it a thousand times since those days. I still have it and have shared it with my eight year old son. Keep up the good work. You have been a true inspiration in my life. -- Tom Bonebrake, Fort Mill, SC
