China built up an early lead but the XNBA came back from a 16-point deficit to take a lead briefly in the second half. The lead changed hands repeatedly and China was on top at the end as a last-second shot from midcourt by Frank Brickowski hit the front of the rim and fell short.

China’s Zhang Jinsong led all scorers with 33 points, while pivotman Wang Zhizhi had 17. Tom Chambers led the XNBA with 17 points. China made 10 of its 18 three-point attempts.
